| Application of Zero Turning Mechanism in Forklift using Mecanum Wheels Utkarsh Namdeo, Pranjul Mishra Abstract - Forklift is an important part of industries where moving of objects within the industry compound is important. The aim of this paper is to analyze the optimum material for fork and minimize the space required for the movement of vehicle. The industries having less work space and more work volume requires forklift vehicle which can perform zero turn. In this paper we have studied the zero turn using Mecanum Wheels. No additional space is required to turn the vehicle. Various materials were studied and analyzed for the optimum choice to be used as fork material. |

| Research on Effect of Process Parameters (V, S) on Tooth Side Roughness in Gleason Spiral Bevel Gear Machining By Solid Alloy End Mills Hoang Xuan Thinh, Pham Van Đong, Tran Ve Quoc, Nguyen Hong Son, Nguyen Huu Phan Abstract - Digital control machine tools have been more widely used day by day, many of which can machine gears. However, spiral bevel gear machining ability is still a challenge to technologists. Therefore, using generating method to machine spiral bevel gears has been still popularly used with a number of advantages which ensure precision and limit cumulative errors, etc. To assure the quality of the drive of gears during its movement, it is required to enhance the quality of post-machined gears. The paper presents findings about effect of cutting velocity (V) and feed (S) on the roughness of tooth side in spiral bevel gear machining by solid alloy end mills. The findings are the basis for technologists to select appropriate process parameters to improve the quality of tooth side in Gleason spiral bevel gear machining on 525 semi-automatic spiral bevel gear milling machine with generating method. |

| Experimental Investigation on Pervious Concrete Paved Brick M.Kathiresan, A. Vigneshwaran, K. Vijay, G. Jothimani, M. Karthick Abstract - Pervious concrete is a special type of concrete with a high porosity used for concrete flatwork applications that allows water from precipitation and other sources to pass directly through, thereby reducing the runoff from a site and allowing groundwater recharge. It is also called as porous concrete, permeable concrete, no fines concrete and porous pavement. Pervious concrete is made using large aggregates with little to no fine aggregates. The concrete paste then coats the aggregates and allows water to pass through the concrete slab. This type of concrete having a high void content of about 30%, is becoming popular nowadays due to its potential to reduce the runoff to the drainage systems which can provide a water flow rate around 0.34 cm/second. It is an important application for sustainable construction and is one of many low impact development techniques used by builders to protect water quality . Pervious concrete also find its effective application in low loading intensity parking pavements, footpaths, walkways and highways. The water-cement ratio was kept at different ratios 0.35, 0.40, 0.45. Different properties of pervious concrete e.g. workability, compressive strength test at 7, 14 & 28 days have been studied experimentally. The mix proportions with aggregates size (4.75 mm to 10 mm) gives higher strength when compared to mixes with aggregates size (10 mm to 20 mm),pumice and (4.75 mm to 20 mm) respectively. |

| Experimental Study of Pre-Engineered Wall Panel P. Muthukumar, P.Bharath Kumar, M.Pradeep, S.Ramesh Abstract - The aim of pre-engineered wall panel is high bending stiffness at low densities due to minimal compressive and flexural strength, thermocol or polystyrene is a filler material in structural member. Thus we aim to prove that by using reinforced thermocol as an alternative building material we can achieve an easy, fast and cheap method of construction. Steel industry is growing rapidly in almost all the parts of the world. The use of steel structure is not only economical but also ecofriendly at the time when there is a threat of global warming. Time being the most important aspect, of structures is build in very short period and one such example is pre-engineered building (PEB).Result show that these structures are economic, reduces construction cost and time, energy efficient and flexibility of expansion. |

| A Novel Modified Sobel Algorithm for Better Edge Detection of Various Images P. Vinista, Dr. M. Milton Joe Abstract - Edge detection is one of the crucial aspects of image processing techniques. This edge detection technique is widely used for object identification and segmentation processes. Edge detection mechanism helps a lot in the processes of filtering the unwanted elements in an image. Many edge detection mechanisms namely Sobel edge detection, Prewitt edge detection, Laplacian edge detection, and Roberts edge detection have been used in image processing. In this paper, the various characteristics of above mentioned edge detection algorithms are studied and it has been found that Sobel edge detection algorithm works well compared with other edge detection algorithms. Further, a novel modified Sobel edge detection algorithm is proposed in this paper. The performance of the proposed modified Sobel algorithm is compared with the all the other mentioned edge detection algorithms. The results show that the proposed modified Sobel edge detection take less time to detect the edges of various images. |

| Enhancing the Availability of C206 Conveyor Belt Dr V Janakiraman, I Ashok Kumar, Ajmal.A, Abhijith KU, Akhilsajeev, Nithin Joseph Abstract - This research work aims to enhance the availability of belt conveyor. The detailed study has been conducted on the existing c206 belt conveyor. History card of c206 checked and identified the various problems have been faced. After detailed study, redesign on the existing conveyor some remedies suggested for enhancing its availability. The principle of lean manufacturing has been used to reduce the overall downtime and the lean manufacturing principle helps to achieve ever time production. For belt conveyor we proposed some preventive measurements show the downtime due to maintenance can be reduced. |

| Automatic Ambulance Detection and Intimation Using RSSI K.Rubini, M.Vidya, S.R.Yeshaswini, A.Gowthami Abstract - The biggest problem in many metro-Politian cities is traffic congestion. This project focuses on controlling the speed of the surrounding vehicles near ambulance, and hence the ambulance can reach the hospital on time. It can be done by using RSSI (Received Signal strength Indication) which works based on Message Queuing Telemetry Transport algorithm. Node MCU acts as transmitter and server acts as receiver. Node MCU has the inbuilt Wi-Fi module (EP8266). It receives the signal from server and identifies that signals strength which is used to reduce the speed of other vehicles within the particular limit. An APR voice module is used to provide intimation to the surrounding vehicles about the arrival of ambulance. Also the traffic signals are made automated for ambulance so that the signals will go green thus providing a clear path for the ambulance to reach without time lag. The original signal is again restored once the ambulance moves over a particular distance from the signal that has been fixed earlier. |
